Chocolate Fudge Frosting
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 cups high quality semi-sweet chocolate chips
- Bring the heavy cream and butter to a simmer in a large saucepan. Remove from the heat and add chocolate. Whisk until melted.
- Cool down by whisking over an ice water bath or chilling in the refrigerator until the frosting is of spreading consistency.
Makes enough to fill and frost two 9-inch round layers.
