Giant Celebration Chocolate Chip Cookie
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 1 stick +2 tablespoons (10 tablespoons) unsalted butter, softened
- ½ cup +2 tablespoons dark brown sugar packed
- ¼ cup +2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups semisweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup white chocolate chips
- Flaky sea salt for sprinkling if desired

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit.
- Spray a 10 inch springform pan with nonstick cooking spray.
- In a large mixing bowl whisk together the flour, cornstarch, salt, baking powder and baking soda. Set aside.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer the paddle attachment, cream the butter and both sugars on medium speed until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla and blend well.
- On low speed, mix in the dry ingredients until well blended.
- Remove the bowl from the motor and fold in both types of chips using a rubber spatula.
- Place the batter into the prepared pan and press down until evenly distributed.
- Sprinkle lightly with flaky sea salt.
- Bake the cookie for 23-25 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Cool in pan.
- Remove cookie from the pan and place on a serving plate.
- Fill a pastry bag fitted with a large star tip ½ full of icing.
- Decorate the cookie as you desire.
