Party Size Chocolate Layer Bars
Ingredients
- 1 package (1 lb, 8.16 ounce) chocolate sandwich cookies (approximately 60-63 cookies), pulverized to crumbs in a food processor
- 10 tablespoons (1 stick plus 2 tablespoons) unsalted butter, melted
- 2 ½ cups shredded coconut
- 2 ½ cups chopped walnuts
- 5 cups semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 14 ounce cans sweetened condensed milk, poured into a glass measuring cup
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325° Fahrenheit.
- In a large bowl, mix the crumbs and melted butter until the mixture is the consistency of moist sand.
- Grease a 14” by 20” rectangular sheet pan with 1-inch-high sides with nonstick cooking spray. Cover the bottom with parchment paper and spray again.
- Press crumbs onto the bottom of the prepared pan, packing down as tightly as possible.
- Evenly sprinkle coconut, chocolate chips, and nuts over the crumbs in layers.
- Evenly pour condensed milk over the entire pan. there will be gaps that the milk does not cover, but the milk will spread during baking.
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, or until the coconut is golden brown.
- Cool in pan, then chill in the refrigerator until cold before cutting into bars.

Makes approximately 3-4 dozen bars, depending on how you cut them
